Good, solid bistro food. Fresh ingredients.

Service is very solid. Friendly and accessible.

Good salads, good sandwiches and the like.

We frequently go for business lunches and they have an “eleven for $11” list. All items that they prepare quickly and cost $11 so you can get in, get served and eat quickly (if that is your thing). [Note, for those of us who have been around it used to be the “ten for $10 but who is counting?]

They make good iced tea. The wedge salad and BLT’s are two of my favorites.

When I walk by at night, the dinner crowd seems a little more subdued. I have not been for dinner but it seems like they do a little more intimate, slow paced dinner.

If you have a lunch meeting in the area, worth checking out.

I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful food, cozy atmosphere and good prices. I would highly recommend it.

Service was great, location is excellent

OK so service was great, location is excellent (however not much parking) and the atmosphere was nice. The bad news is the chef must have been having an off night. As a vegetarian there aren’t too many choices here and I knew that going in. We had looked it up online and saw the menu. When we got there prices were different and some items were not on the menu. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it came with only six ravioli for $17 and the cream sauce was bland. We ended with one scoop of ice cream with caramel sauce which is apparently made in house (way to go for trying) that tasted burnt. Not a win for me.

It’s hard to find a good crab cake bene’…a lot of places will use imitation crab meat, or if real, will use a lot of filler. This was very well done. A generous amount of crab, and a few capers, lightly battered and cooked to perfection. The eggs were also just right, poached soft, with a well pronounced lemon hollandaise.
A lil’ garnish could of went a long way, either some fresh snipped chives with the traditional cayenne dusting, or maybe a lil’ side of fruit. After all it was an $18.00 plate. The potatoes were nice and crispy, with not a lot of seasoning, a little plain, but still good. It’s a nice quaint lil’ dinning room with a bar area if eating alone. They have about 4 micro brews on tap, and a wine list also. Very friendly owner and waitstaff ta boot. I’ll defiantly go back, maybe to them for dinner. Check them out.

This almond crusted salmon could be one of the best salmons dishes I’ve ever had! Crispy on the outside, yet moist, fully cooked and hot! Quaint place, not too big. Server was friendly, service was great. Fairly priced as compared to other equivalent SR restaurants. My companions also raved about his meatloaf and Brownie sandwich. We will be back!

Great Lunch

Had lunch here today for the first time. Very homey place with tables for around 40 diners. Luncheon menu was quite extensive. Opted for fish and chips and saw the cook making the beer batter from the beer tap. Very fresh and wholesome. My wife ordered the tuna melt and side salad, which she said was fantastic. Our friend ordered a fresh wrap with mango chutney. All lunch plates were $11 each. Nice wait staff, and after the meal, the owner, Rick Bruno, came over to chat. Nice to be treated like family.
Will definitely go back. Want to try dinner menu sometime soon.
Great find in Santa Rosa

What a great place!

Huge menu for a small restaurant, but with quite a variety. Interesting and fresh combos of foods that are delivered quickly. Taste is superb. One of my new favorites! Try the Sunday brunch ….. and the special on Friday nights of smoked prime rib :)))

Another local place in the neighborhood where it is easy to walk to from my house.

This is not a place we’ll be coming regularly since it’s a bit expensive, but it’s a place I’ll think of frequently when I look back at delicious meals I’ve eaten.

My girlfriend and I went here on a Friday night. Despite the place being empty, we were asked if we had a reservation…. No, we didn’t, but soon we saw why they asked us. By the time our food came out there was not an empty table in the joint, and we were by far the youngest people there (except for the staff). It’s a classy place with great traditional american dishes, along with some other new-agey stuff that’s also quite good.

I started off with a glass of red wine and she got a beer. I ordered the pancetta-wrapped prawns over a creamy polenta. She ordered the prime rib. Both were excellent. The prime rib was smokey and the prawns were rich. I chuckled at the portion size of the exactly four prawns that were presented to me, but they were more than enough food as the pancetta and the cream was quite substantial.

Friendly service. Delicious food. A neighborhood gem!

Friendly neighborhood restaurant

Great place for an enjoyable lunch. Very small, about seating for 38 people, a bit noisy when at capacity. Visited for first time with 3 hungry people. After a short wait for a table, service was prompt and very friendly. A good variety of “comfort food” lunch items, all reasonably priced. We enjoyed tasty fish and chips, a very good pulled pork sandwich, a good, but nothing special patty melt, and a daily special soup and sandwich. All food was freshly prepared and well presented. They also serve a Sunday brunch and dinners in the evening. Our only complaint was the wine pour was the smallest we have encountered in any Sonoma county restaurant. With 2 glasses exceeding their total cost for the bottle, we felt we had been taken advantaged over the wine. We would have felt better paying a dollar more per glass, and give us a reasonable wine pour. An enjoyable lunch, but afterwards talking about the wine. A bad business decision that should be corrected. Otherwise, I would recommend this restaurant, particularly for a good lunch.

some was excellent, some was good

The curried shrimp appetizer was to die for. The pork loin was a bit dry but the accompaniments made up for it. Broccoli was crunchier than I usually like it but didn’t want to ask for more cooking in case it was then mushy. Overall the food here is very good and the service is friendly, fun and efficient. Nice wine list. My friend had prawn pasta which was very good.
